Jumpstart your Marketing - Write an eBook in a Week

People love to download free stuff, especially information rich ebooks. One of the most effective methods to increase your Website traffic is to offer a free ebook download.
For those of you who think you can’t write a 200 word article, much less an ebook, take heart. I just read about a group of people who attempt to write a novel in one month. They don’t stop to edit. They churn out page after page until it’s complete.
Now, most novels are in the 70,000+ word range. Most non-fiction books are about half that. An ebook is from 20-100 pages.
So, if someone can write a novel in a month, is it possible to write an ebook in a week?
Let me break it down:
- You need a 20 page eBook
- 20 pages divided by 7 days = 2.86 pages
- Round to 3 pages a day
If you can write 3, 400 word articles per day, you’ll have an ebook in a week. The hardest part about writing is getting the words on paper. So, your ebook will still need an edit. But, you’ll have it.
Now, imagine if you did this once per month. After a year, you could combine all your ebooks into one giant tome and sell it.
That may sound excessive but it sets you apart. A lot of people write ebooks. But do a lot of people write more than one? What about twelve?
Make a goal for the new year to write one ebook the first week of each month. Pass them around. Give them away. Sell ‘em.
If you do, you’ll be heads above the rest of your industry.

One of the things that I have found interesting about writing ebooks is the fact that you can create one with a blog. You know if you can post to a blog once, or twice a week, that’s pretty good because you can use that blog as your ebook.
That’s exactly what I am doing with my new product called, Ebook By Blog. This is an ebook that I have createdout of the Wordpress blogging platform, and it works quite well.
